Vacuum Tungsten Copper Material Main Performances
Compared to the conventional tungsten copper materials, the air content of vacuum tungsten copper materials will be lower,and the electrically and thermally conductive properties of the material are better. The main performances of the vacuum tungsten copper materials are as follows:
1.Air content of the material
As the vacuum switch tubes and electronic devices are vacuum devices, therefore it’s stringent in the air content of materials which is going to be used. Especially for the vacuum switch,the arcing emerged when opening and closing the vacuum switch,and simultaneously with a high temperature in a moment,then causing severe deflation and the degree of vacuum switch tubes. Oxygen content is the main air content of tungsten copper material. The factors which effected the oxygen content of vacuum tungsten copper material are the oxygen content of original raw tungsten powder, copper or mixed powder and the full reduction and degassing during sintering. In addition,the vacuum degree of final vacuum infiltration or melt processing is one factor which influenced the oxygen content of tungsten copper material too.
2.Electrical thermal conductivity of the material
Well thermal conductivity performance can significant improve the using power of electrical devices, reduce the temperature,and strengthen radiating,so the vacuum tungsten copper contacts should have better and higher performance of electric thermal conductivity regardless of been using in cooling element of electronic devices or contacts of electronic device vacuum switch tubes.
3.Hardness of the material
There was no requirement for the hardness of tungsten copper material regardless of been using in cooling element of electronic devices or contacts of electronic device vacuum switch tubes.But it can’t be used as an ideal material if the hardness is too low or too high.
4.Copper content of the material
Tungsten and copper in the tungsten copper material can’t form into neither alloy nor compound, but exist by way of the respective monomers. Therefore, it is a typical two-phase composite. It means that the higher the copper content is, the lower the hardness and electrical conductivity will be.
