Nano violet tungsten oxide may be applied for manufacturing thermal insulation dispersion, in which the violet tungsten oxide nanoparticles can effectively shield the heat in the near-infrared and far-infrared regions. And therefore, it can maintain lower room temperature in the hot summer and control heat loss in the winter, thereby reducing the energy charge on air conditioning.
The same batch of APT is used to prepare violet tungsten oxide, yellow tungsten oxide and blue tungsten oxide respectively; then, the three kinds of tungsten oxides are respectively used to prepare tungsten powder under the same hydrogen reduction process, and be verified in the industrial hydrogen reduction furnace. It can be found that:
1. Under the same hydrogen reduction process conditions, the grain size of tungsten powder prepared by the violet tungsten oxide is smaller than the blue tungsten oxide’s, and the particle size distribution is also narrow.
2 When the amount of violet tungsten oxide increased by 61.3% compared with that of blue tungsten oxide, the tungsten powder prepared by violet tungsten oxide is still finer or equivalent than that of blue tungsten oxide under the same hydrogen reduction process, indicating the replacement of blue tungsten oxide by violet tungsten oxide can significantly increase the productivity of tungsten powder. At the same time, in addition to increasing the amount of loading, it can speed up the push, further increase the productivity of tungsten powder and save power and hydrogen consumption.
