Violet tungsten oxide powder may be applied for manufacturing infrared ultraviolet shielding material
In recent years, as a new material, ultrafine particles have become more and more widely. Ultrafine tungsten powder or tungsten carbide powder has also received great attention as a raw material for the production of ultrafine grained tungsten carbide. Therefore, a large amount of research has been conducted on the production of ultrafine tungsten powder or tungsten carbide powder at home and abroad.
At present, the preparation of ultrafine tungsten powder mainly has three research directions: one is to improve on the existing blue tungsten oxide process; the other is to adopt a new reduction method, such as hydrogen reduction halide; the third is to use laser, fluidization and other new technologies. However, it has been found that under the same hydrogen reduction process, the particles of tungsten powder is finer if it is prepared by using violet tungsten oxide (W18O49, WO2.72) as raw material than that of blue tungsten oxide.
