Nano violet tungsten oxide powder may be applied for the manufacture of nano-ceramic dispersion solution, which may be applied to prepare heat insulating film. The violet tungsten oxide can also be reduced in a hydrogen atmosphere to obtain tungsten powder, and the tungsten powder and carbon are mixed, carbonizing to obtain tungsten carbide powder, and then the morphology change of the obtained tungsten carbide powder is studied by transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy, as shown in the following image.
It can be seen from the image that there are a large number of defects in the tungsten carbide grains. One of the most common defects is incomplete growth. The grains are composed of lamellar layers, and the lamellar orientation of the different particles is different. In the image “d”, such particles are typical diffraction spectrum, and only one bright diffraction spot appears in the spectrum. It shows that only one crystal face of the WC particle is fully grown, and other crystal faces are in a disordered state at a remote time, and the diffraction spots are weakened or disappeared.
