Nanometer violet tungsten oxide may be applied for producing heat insulation coating, and therefore be used in building, car and airplane where require high heat insulation and high transparency. The ultrafine tungsten carbide powder obtained by using violet tungsten oxide as raw material can be used to produce ultrafine grained cemented carbide with an average grain size of less than 0.5μm. Therefore, violet tungsten oxide shows good development prospects.
