Dark blue nano tungsten oxide for thermal insulation paper can be produced by a mild H2 reduction method in a multi-tube furnace. Researchers have used two kinds of APT materials to study - ammonium paratungstate of regular crystal form and ammonium paratungstate of common crystal form. Comparing the 20 sets of specific surface area data produced by the two types APTs, they found that the specific surface area of the blue tungsten oxide powder produced by the regular type ammonium paratungstate is larger than that of the common type of ammonium paratungstate.
The specific research results are as follows. The blue tungsten oxide powder produced by the regular type ammonium paratungstate has a maximum value of specific surface area of 6.53m2/g, a minimum value of 4.44m2/g, and an average value of 5.32m2/g. The blue tungsten oxide powder produced by the common type ammonium paratungstate has a maximum value of specific surface area of 5.62m2/g, a minimum value of 3.36m2/g, and an average value of 4.41m2/g.
