Dark blue nano tungsten oxide not only may be applied for the production of near-infrared shielding material, but also can be used to prepare AKS doped tungsten wire, i.e., tungsten wire doped with Al, Si and K. Researchers have done relative experiments. They used a regular type ammonium paratungstate (sample No. A) and a common type ammonium paratungstate (sample No. B) to produce blue tungsten oxide powder. Then, the obtained blue tungsten oxide is doped during the production of doped tungsten wire through doping, reducing, pressing sintering, swaging, and drawing into a tungsten wire of φ0.39mm under the same process. And they measured the high temperature sag value of the doped tungsten wire.
From the comparison of the high temperature sag value of the φ0.39mm doped tungsten wire, it can be clearly seen that the high temperature performance of the AKS-doped tungsten wire produced by the regular type ammonium paratungstate raw material is higher than that of the AKS-doped tungsten wire produced by the common type ammonium paratungstate raw material.
