Blue tungsten oxide for infrared absorption material may be added to tungsten powder, and therefore be applied for sintering tungsten skeleton. 11.22μm of blue tungsten oxide powder with a mass fraction of 5%, 10%, and 15% was added to 2μm of tungsten powder, respectively. And the mixing powder was performed reduction sintering at 1300~1500°C. How does the density of the obtained tungsten skeleton change?
Under the same molding pressure, the density of the skeleton compacts with different blue tungsten oxide contents is basically the same, while the density of tungsten skeleton after sintering decreases with the increase of the content of blue tungsten oxide powder. As the content of blue tungsten oxide increases, the density of the tungsten skeleton after sintering is lower than that of the compact.
Since the particle size of blue tungsten oxide powder greatly exceeds the particle size of tungsten powder used, the content of blue tungsten oxide powder does not significantly affect the deposition between the powders during the pressing, so the density of the blank is substantially the same.
