Blue tungsten oxide nano powder may be used not only for the preparation of transparent thermal insulation film, which is widely used in the heat insulation fields of architectural window glass and automobile window glass, and can also be used in the preparation of tungsten powder by hydrogen reduction method. Some scholars have studied the relationship between the process parameters of blue tungsten oxide reduction process and the particle size of tungsten powder in industrial rotary reduction furnace, and analyzed the factors causing tungsten powder agglomeration.
They found that, with other conditions unchanged, the particle size of the tungsten powder increased as the reduction temperature increased, the reduction time prolonged, or the H2/WO3-x ratio decreased. As the tube rotates, the flying powder is oxidized by the rapidly ejected water vapor, re-reduced, and deposited on the surface of the powder, causing the bond between the tungsten grains to agglomerate the tungsten powder.
