According to the flow form of the furnace charge, the reduction can be divided into static reduction method and dynamic reduction method. Therefore, there are currently two types of reduction furnace, i.e. propulsion reduction furnace (static reduction) and rotary reduction furnace (dynamic reduction).

Under pure hydrogen conditions, the atmosphere in the furnace is determined by the ratio of H2/WO3-x. Therefore, some scholars have summarized the production practice for many years, and studied the relationship between the process parameters of the rotary reduction furnace and the particle size of tungsten powder, which provides a guiding role for further precise control of the quality of tungsten powder.
