Violet tungsten oxide nano powder may be applied for producing thermal absorption agricultural plastic film, which will have better properties such as higher strength, toughness and wind resistance than common agricultural plastic film. And thus the transparent agricultural film of nano violet tungsten oxide is widely used in agricultural greenhouses such as vegetable greenhouses. Moreover, the obtained agricultural film has a certain ultraviolet shielding effect, and does not affect the passage of visible light to some extent (visible light transmittance is as high as 93% or more), so that it can allow vegetables in the greenhouse to grow better.
The reason why the obtained transparent agricultural film has a certain ultraviolet blocking effect, i.e. thermal absorption effect, is because the nano grain size violet tungsten oxide particles have a shielding ratio of 80% or more for the infrared light of 780nm~2400nm and a blocking rate of 58% for the ultraviolet light of 380nm. In addition, an appropriate amount of ultraviolet rays that are irradiated into the greenhouse film can act as a bactericidal effect.
