Yellow tungsten oxide powder (WO3) may be applied in the production of low density polyethylene agricultural film to obtain thermal absorption agricultural plastic film. As you may have known, low-density polyethylene film has high transparency and good heat sealability. And it is also waterproof and moisture-proof. However, the low-density polyethylene film has low tensile strength and large tensile elongation, which make it prone to wrinkles. And it is particularly susceptible to deformation when heated, resulting in difficulty in color registration. Therefore, when drying, the surface temperature of the film is not required to be too high, which is generally lower than 55°C.
Experts have found that coating a layer of infrared thermal absorption layer in a low-density polyethylene film not only provides a good thermal insulation effect, but also enhances the strength, toughness and high temperature resistance of the film itself. Therefore, this new type of agricultural film of yellow tungsten oxide nanoparticles will be gradually applied to the greenhouse as the development of agriculture.
