Tungsten oxide nano powder may be added in the production of a polyethylene film to obtain a heat insulation agricultural thin film. As you may have known, polyethylene film has many characteristics, showing as below:
1.0 Good light transmission, no plasticizer pollution, nice light transmittance and strong low temperature resistance. Low temperature embrittlement temperature is 70°C.
2.0 It is light in weight, 0.92, which is only equivalent to 76% of polyvinyl chloride.
3.0 Infrared transmittance is as high as 87% or more. While the heat preservation at night is poor.
4.0 Poor moisture permeability with many fog drops. High temperature softening temperature is 50°C.
5.0 Strong elongation with poor elasticity. And it is not resistant to aging. Generally, only for 4-6 months.
However, experts have found that if a proper amount of tungsten oxide particles is added during the preparation of the polyethylene film, the obtained film can have good nighttime heat preservation, light fastness and anti-fog drop while ensuring light transmittance and infrared transmittance. Also, such film has good flexibility, anti-aging and other advantages.
