Nanometer Cesium Tungsten Bronze Applied for Near Infrared Shielding Material

Nanometer cesium tungsten bronze may be used for the preparation of near infrared shielding material. Some experts have done related experiments. They blended cesium tungsten bronze nano-dispersion with water-based resin on architectural glass substrates to produce transparent nano-composite coating materials with near-infrared shielding effect. And they also examined the effects of process conditions such as types of water-based resins, nanoparticles content of cesium tungsten bronze and coating thickness on the mechanical properties and optical properties of transparent composite coating materials.

Experts found that the prepared coating material has high transparency, good near-infrared shielding performance and excellent heat insulation performance if the water-based resin is made of acrylic resin, cesium tungsten bronze nanoparticles and acrylic resin with a mass ratio of 7.0% and a coating thickness of 6μm. Also, such coating has high hardness. Moreover, it has strong adhesion to the glass substrate. The blocking rate of near-infrared light at 1000nm reaches 90% when the visible light transmittance of the nano-composite coating material at 500nm is 74%.
