Cesium tungsten bronze powder may be used for the preparation of thermal insulation film. Why may cesium tungsten bronze be used to prepare dingal films with high thermal insulation performance? As scientists have discovered that cesium tungsten bronze has near-infrared shielding property. Tungsten bronze (MxWO3, M=H+, Li+, Na+) formed by doping monovalent cations in tungsten oxide has excellent photoelectric property. The low resistivity characteristic of cesium tungsten bronze (CsxWO3) has been reported for a long time. While near-infrared shielding performance of CsxWO3 has only been proposed in recent years.
In 2007, Takeda and other scholars adopted solid phase reaction using ammonium tungstate and metal salts as raw materials, followed by heat treatment at 800°C (the reaction conditions: H2/N2 mixed gas (V(H2)/V(N2)=95/5), 550°C and N2 gas) to obtain M0.33WO3 (M=Cs, Rb) material. It was first proposed that the film of M0.33WO3 (M=Cs, Rb) has good near-infrared shielding performance, and it is expected to be widely used in smart window, more importantly, in the heat insulation field of building and automotive glass.
