Cesium tungsten bronze powder may be used to prepare a new type of heat insulation coating, which is transparent when it is applied in glass, such as glass window, glass door or glass curtain wall. In other words, the obtained heat insulation coating material of cesium tungsten bronze may be used to make coated glass. In fact, the so called coated glass is obtained by coating a layer of cesium tungsten bronze transparent film on ordinary glass. And the glass will have near-infrared shielding property. So, how is cesium tungsten bronze coated glass prepared?
After thoroughly grinding and ultrasonically dispersing the cesium tungsten bronze powder, it was added to the 0.1g/mL polyvinyl alcohol solution, stirred in a water bath at 80°C for 40min, and aged for 2 days. Then, using a roll coating method to coat a film on the surface of the ordinary glass (7cm*12cm*0.3cm) to obtain cesium tungsten bronze coated glass. And the near-infrared shielding property of the obtained CsxWO3 coated glass can be characterized in the range of 300-1100nm using an ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer.
