Cesium tungsten bronze powder may be prepared into the transparent film for applying in thermal insulating glass. Some experts prepared CsxWO3 (x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3) powders with different cesium contents under low temperature hydrothermal conditions using citric acid as the reaction solvent, and the polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as the film-forming agent. And the heat insulating glass film of cesium tungsten bronze was prepared by roll coating. At the same time, they studied the near-infrared shielding property and thermal insulation property of cesium tungsten bronze films with different cesium contents.
The results show that the near-infrared shielding performance and thermal insulation effect of thin film of cesium tungsten bronze increase with the increase of cesium content in CsxWO3. And the Cs0.3WO3 film has the best near-infrared shielding performance and the best thermal insulation performance. Compared with blank glass (glass without coating a film of cesium tungsten bronze), the thermal insulation temperature difference can reach 13.5°C.
