Cesium tungsten oxide may be applied for producing a new type of transparent thermal insulation material, which is more and more widely applied in the field of buildings and cars. So, researchers are paid more attention to such material.
They found that, when preparing cesium tungsten oxide powder for transparent heat-insulating material, the structure of the prepared CsxWO3 is a hexagonal Cs0.2WO3 structure if n (Cs)/n (W) in the precursor liquid is 0.1 or 0.2; and if n (Cs)/ n (W) is 0.3, the structure of the prepared CsxWO3 is a hexagonal Cs0.32WO3 structure. The morphology of Cs0.3WO3 has smaller particles and more pores. The specific surface area of Cs0.3WO3 is 41.67m2/g. The small particle size of CsxWO3 is beneficial to improve the visible light transmittance, and the large specific surface area is beneficial to improve the light effect efficiency.
Some experts also adopt low temperature hydrothermal method using sodium tungstate and cesium carbonate as raw materials, citric acid as the reaction solvent to prepare CsxWO3 powder with different cesium contents at 190°C. And they use PVA as a film-forming agent on ordinary architectural glass. Therefore, CsxWO3 films with different cesium contents were prepared. The experts also studied the near-infrared shielding property and thermal insulation property of CsxWO3 with different cesium content, and discussed the effect of CsxWO3 cesium content on near-infrared shielding and thermal insulation properties.
