Nano CsxWO3, or cesium tungsten bronze nanoparticles, may be applied to produce thermal insulation film with excellent absorbance (near-infrared shielding property). With the popularity of this new type of environmentally friendly thermal insulation thin film, manufacturers are more interested in cesium tungsten bronze nanomaterials.
According to experts, the absorbance of the prepared cesium tungsten bronze nanopowder is closely related to its crystallinity and microstructure. They found that the near-infrared shielding performance of nano cesium tungsten bronze increases with the increase of free carrier concentration and crystallinity. And the near-infrared shielding performance also greatly enhanced with the formation of nanorods.
This is because surface plasmon resonance is closely related to the microscopic morphology of nanostructure of CsxWO3 in addition to the influence of free carrier concentration. The surface plasma generates longitudinal and lateral resonances along the length and width of the nanorod crystal, respectively. The plasmon resonance effect is stronger, so the larger the aspect ratio, the greater the absorbance of the CsxWO3 powder.
