Nano Cesium Tungstate Applied for Near Infrared Shielding Material

Nano cesium tungstate may be used to prepare near infrared shielding material for use in construction and automotive glass. With the promotion of the application of cesium tungstate in the field of heat insulation, experts are paying more and more attention to the preparation of cesium tungstate powder.

For instance, in order to shorten the reaction time, some experts have proposed the following idea: using tungsten salts (ammonium tungstate, ammonium paratungstate, ammonium metatungstate) and strontium salts (cesium nitrate, cesium hydroxide) as raw materials, in a ratio of Cs/W substance of 1: (1.5-2.8). The chelating agent EDTA and an alcohol reagent were used as solvents. The process was reacted at 170°C for 3 hours, and then reacted in a high pressure reaction vessel at 260-270°C for 5-8 hours, and then dried under vacuum to obtain cesium tungstate powder.

However, in fact, the above-mentioned preparation method also has problems of low production efficiency and high production cost. Therefore, some experts have proposed using tungsten and cesium as raw materials, and reacting in a closed reaction kettle at 180-350°C for 2-8 hours, then washing and drying with deionized water or ethanol, and finally using a jet mill to treatment to obtain cesium tungstate powder.
