Cesium doped tungsten oxide may be applied for preparing thermal insulation paper - heat-insulating film. This is because the Cs doped tungsten oxide powder has a relatively strong absorption capacity at the near-infrared wavelength. So, it also has great potential in the application of solar thermal insulation filter.

However, inorganic particles have a large surface energy, so the particles often agglomerate to form relatively large particles. In addition, inorganic particles often need to be dispersed in organic materials in practical applications. Therefore, it is an urgent problem to be solved that using certain strategies to reduce the size of agglomerated inorganic particles and to modify the surface energy of the particles to enable them to be stably dispersed in organic materials. In this regard, some experts have used cetyltrimethoxysilane and three-roller zirconium beads to grind the surface of the cesium doped tungsten oxide particles to perform surface hydrophobic modification and particle miniaturization. The modified Cs doped tungsten oxide particles are first dispersed in an organic solvent, and then a certain proportion of solid content and pressure sensitive adhesive are mixed and coated on the PET film. And the visible light transmittance, near-infrared light absorption and temperature buffer effect are tested. The results show that when the solid content of the film reaches 7%, the average visible light transmittance is 67.3%, and the average near-infrared light shielding effect is 86%. After 60 minutes of simulated sunlight, the temperature buffer effect is 12.7%.
