So, what are the five-layer film structures of the electrochromic device? ——TC/EC/IC/CE/TC, wherein TC is a transparent conducting layer – a transparent electrode, EC is an electrochromic layer, lC is an ion conductive layer, and CE is an ion storage layer. The CE layer can prevent the deposition of ions on the electrodes. When the CE layer has the dual ding of ion storage and coloring/bleaching, the obtained device is called a complementary electrochromic device, and at this time, the EC layer and the CE layer are simultaneously colored and simultaneously bleached. Complementary electrochromic devices extend the modulation width of the spectrum and enhance the modulation depth.
