It is reported that the structure of electrochromic devices has been developed for many years, and the most typical and promising structure generally accepted by scholars in various countries is such a structure - five layers of electrochromic materials are sandwiched between two layers of conductive glass. This is the "glass/TC/EC/IC/IS/TC/glass" structure. Wherein TC (Transparent Conductive) layer is mainly used to establish an electric field to realize a color changing process. IC (Ion Conductor) layer, also referred to as electrolyte layer, acts to transport ions to block electrons between electrochromic layer and ion storage layer. IS (Ion Storage) layer, also known as Counter Electrode (CE) layer, acts to store ions and balance the charge, requiring it have large ion storage capacity.
