A method of synthesizing monodisperse tungsten trioxide nanorods by colloidal chemistry has been reported. In colloidal chemistry, the morphology of nanomaterials can be well regulated by varying the concentration of surfactants. With the change of the particle size of tungsten trioxide nanorods constituting the film and the structural adjustment of tungsten trioxide film, its electrochromic properties are correspondingly affected, so that the electrochromic performance of the assembled large-area electrochromic device will also be affected by size of WO3 nanorod and structure adjustment of WO3 film.
