Nano cesium tungsten bronze for preparing living room heat insulating glass coating can be synthesized by hydrothermal method using sodium tungstate (Na2WO4?2H2O), cesium chloride (CsCl) or cesium carbonate (Cs2CO3) as raw materials, and ethanol or citric acid as inducer. In this process, some experts studied the effects of preparation methods and preparation conditions on the structure and properties of CsxWO3 powder, and discussed the mechanism of CsxWO3 with near-infrared shielding properties.

But why not adopt the traditional preparation method? The conventional method for preparing CsxWO3 is the high-temperature thermal reduction method, which requires high temperature and a reducing atmosphere. And it needs high-level equipment. In the previous research, the experts used WCl6 and CsOH as raw materials to prepare CsxWO3 in ethanol solution by hydrothermal reaction at low temperature of 200 °C. However, WCl6 and CsOH are costly and volatile, which is harmful to the human body and the environment. Therefore, the conventional method of preparing CsxWO3 --- the high temperature thermal reduction method, is not suitable.
