It is reported that some experts prepared the CsxWO3 film on glass using polyvinyl alcohol solution as dispersing agent, characterized the microstructure and morphology of CsxWO3 powder by XRD and SEM, and investigated the optical spectra and heat insulation properties of CsxWO3 powder and film. The results indicate that the synthesized cesium tungsten bronze nanopowder has hexagonal Cs0.32WO3 crystal structure. The CsxWO3 powder and film show strong near-infrared absorption and near-infrared shielding properties. Furthermore, the near-infrared shielding performance of glass coated with CsxWO3 film has been further improved after UV irradiation. Especially, the glasses coated with CsxWO3 film which was synthesized from the non-ethanol precursor solution exhibit the most outstanding near-infrared shielding performance and the best heat insulation performance.
