WO3, or tungsten trioxide, is an important dingal nano material for the preparation of a new type of environmentally friendly composite heat insulation coating. The prepared coating of tungsten trioxide nano particles has the characteristics of strong adhesion, high hardness and high light transmittance. Also, such coating may shield almost ultraviolet rays and most of infrared rays. Some experts compared the spectra of the nano polyurethane transparent thermal insulation coating of nano ATO /WO3 /LaB6 composite and the nano transparent thermal insulation coating of ATO on the market to find that:

The light transmission of ATO /WO3 /LaB6 composite coating is about 70% in the visible range; the transmittance at 200nm-380nm is 0%, and the transmittance at 800nm-2000nm is 1%. In other words, the coating completely blocks ultraviolet and infrared rays, and only visible light can pass through the coating, so the thermal insulation effect is very significant. Comparing with the thermal insulation performance of blank glass, the temperature in the test box with composite thermal insulation glass coating is reduced by an average of 12 °C.
