Previously, people usually chose lead as a medical shielding material, such as lead shielding blocks on medical linear accelerators. However, lead is toxic. In nature, the three isotopes of lead 206Pb, 207Pb, and 208Pb are the final decay products of three natural radioactive series of uranium, actinide, and thorium series.
