Tungsten disulfide nanosheet, or WS2 nanosheet, can be used to prepare Au-WS2 composite catalyst. It has been reported that some researchers supported gold nanocatalyst on WS2 nanosheet powders by photoreduction to form a composite catalyst for use as a catalytic anode in fuel cells. Wherein, the Au-WS2 composite catalyst is mainly coated on the conductive substrate by a physical loading method.

Preparation of Au-WS2 Composite Catalyst
Disperse tungsten disulfide nanosheet powder in a water-methanol mixed solution at a material-liquid ratio of 1-2 mg/mL. Wherein, the water-methanol mixed solution is formed by mixing water and methanol in a volume ratio of 1: 2. Then add 6-8% volume of the aqueous solution of chloroauric acid with a concentration of 0.0122-0.0243 mol/L to the mixed solution of water-methanol to obtain a mixed solution. And then the mixed solution was placed under an ultraviolet lamp for 3-6 h under stirring. Centrifuge the obtained product for 20-40 min and vacuum dry to obtain the target composite catalyst.
